Yesterday, the LEGO Group, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and DC, unveiled the #76271 LEGO DC Batman Gotham City Skyline set, an amazing recreation of Gotham City as it appears in “Batman: The Animated Series.” This atmospheric set, a 3D recreation of the Gotham City skyline in LEGO bricks, is getting […]Original linkOriginal author: Thita (admin)
it was fun discovering tons of lego bowties all over the internet. this one was too cute not to share. thanks thinkbricks! Why wear a regular bow tie when you can wear a LEGO bow tie!? In my travels to various conventions, I have seen many people wearing the coveted brick bow tie. In these instances, my usual fear of approaching people quickly disappears. Why? Because I am distracted by that grand piece of plastic awesomeness! I simply must check out the tie from up close, and pelt the owner with a laundry list of questions. Why? Because, to me, it’s the coolest thing ever! I recently went on a journey to discover as many brick-built bow ties as I could (along with their builders). I am happy to report that I found a lot and interviewed the builders in detail! So many, in fact, we needed two posts. (Spoiler alert...

But, sure, I can make it into a Walled Garden if that would suit your plans?” And so it begins. A Walking Walled Garden Walled Gardens are my ‘spaceships.’ There are builders to whom everything looks like a spaceship, to others a castle, and to others still a Ferarri. For me, everything looks like a garden; either a...
One day when walking down the streets of Bordeaux, France, I discovered some LEGO street art by chance. I scanned an included QR code and discovered artist Warren Podguszer aka Wawapod. I was impressed by his work combining pop art with the LEGO culture that I love. I got in touch with him to discuss his art. Sam: Hello, thanks for chatting with BrickNerd. Could you tell us a little about yourself? Warren: My name is Warren Podguszer. I am a painter, and I live in Paris. Sam: You seem to like to use pop culture icons in your creations with LEGo recurring numerous times. What is it about LEGO that captures your imagination? Warren: LEGO is a very popular icon that connects directly to childhood. I also like its unique anonymous repetitive side. Sam: The painting "Two Worlds" is a collaborative work—can you tell us more? Warren: I collaborated with...
