The LEGO Pirates theme might not have the range of sets that we’ve seen in City, Space, and Castle, but for many AFOLs, the Pirates flame still burns as bright as Captain Redbeard’s chin whiskers. For several years now, builder Marcin Dski (Sleepless Night) has been expanding on an original series of dockside modular buildings that bring to life the Golden Age of Piracy in stunning detail, and their latest addition is this majestic chapel. The façade features some attractive use of gold elements for detail work, but my favorite section has to be the powder dome, ribbed with flex tubes and cupola. Sleepless Night’s modular pirate journey started with a re-imagining of their favorite classic set, Lagoon Lock-Up. From there, they added Captain Redbeard’s mansion and a custom house, and now this lovely chapel to tempt freebooters with its golden façade. Here at TBB we are excited to see what...

LEGO has revealed a “new” LEGO City Space set with the Space Explorers Pack (60441). Even though it’s a new set, it is just a 3-in-1 Super Pack featuring some of the newer released City Space sets including the Space Construction Mech (60428), Interstellar Spaceship (60430), and the Space Hoverbike (30663) polybag. The whole pack will retail for $31.99 which is a bit cheaper of you would have bought all three sets separately. I priced the polybag at $5 which brings the price of all three sets to $34.99 so you save $3. Most of you may pass on this one if you have the sets already separately but completionists may be interested in it. The set will release on May 1. If you’re looking to get more of the Series 25 LEGO Collectible Minifigures, Amazon currently has a $8.95 coupon you can use on the 6 Pack Box to give it basically a 30% discount. This discount drops the price of the box down to $20.99 which makes each minifigure $3.50 each. Series 25 does include a few army builder characters but the main one is the Goatherd which includes the new white goat. As a warning, this is a mystery box so you’re not guaranteed anything.
