BayLUG, or the Bay Area LEGO® Users Group, is a community of LEGO enthusiasts based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Established to foster appreciation for LEGO building, BayLUG brings together builders of all ages to share their passion and creations.
Key Features of BayLUG:
- Regular Meetings – Members convene monthly to discuss projects, share building techniques, and collaborate on displays.
- Public Exhibitions – BayLUG actively participates in public events, showcasing intricate LEGO displays. Notably, their annual holiday show features elaborate scenes and interactive play areas. In 2023, they recreated Roaring Camp's Western shops and buildings, offering visitors a unique experience.
- Community Engagement – Beyond exhibitions, BayLUG members engage in charitable activities, such as donations to local organizations, and collaborate with libraries and museums to enrich community experiences.
- Collaborations – Many members are also part of the Bay Area L-Gauge Train Club (BayLTC), working together to display LEGO model trains and scenery at various shows.
