However, as of early 2025, Brickshelf has been facing significant challenges. The platform's owner, Kevin Loch, passed away in June 2024, leading to the announcement that Brickshelf would be shutting down on or around March 1, 2025.

The TTV Message Boards and the Wall of History have taken the initiative to restore and preserve Brickshelf's extensive archive of LEGO images. They are actively working on bringing the platform back online and have established a Discord server to provide the community with the latest updates on their progress.
