L3P is a command-line utility developed by Lars C. Hassing that converts LDraw models into POV-Ray-compatible files for rendering. LDraw is a system for representing LEGO® models in a digital format, while POV-Ray is a tool for creating high-quality 3D graphics. L3P automates the process of generating POV-Ray files from LDraw models, simplifying the rendering workflow for LEGO enthusiasts and designers.
