This LEGO model of a modern architectural building that looks like it is made from LEGO is kinda making my brain hurt at an Inception level, but brain-pain never looked so good. A digital render by aukbricks, using only existing parts and colors, the model’s distinct surface technique consists of more than 3,000 1×1 white plates. While the building is certainly the star of the scene, the two trees are also quite nicely built. The post Stunning model of F-Town building appeared first on The Brothers Brick. Last year, British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton won his 6th world champion title. Although he has to win one more championship to equal Michael Schumacher’s achievement, his career statistics are remarkable, to say the least. Half of his success is, of course, his outstanding driving talent, but the other half is always the car. Noah_L pays tribute to incredible Mercedes-AMG F1 W10, which Lewis piloted during 2019 season. The scale of the model, which appears to be around 1:15, sets a whole bunch of designing challenges. Formula 1 cars are known for their supersophisticated aerodynamic elements, which are always hard to build. But according to the builder’s comment, matching the livery was the most challenging part. Certain parts of the car’s body are colored in turquoise, which is the signature color of Mercedes’ sponsor, Petronas. Although more and more types of LEGO pieces appear in dark turquoise since 2018, the...
LEGO has officially announced their new product line for LEGO arts and crafts concept called LEGO DOTs. The theme will be launching on March 1, 2020 with a wave of seven sets which you can see below. London: Artist Camille Walala today unveiled her most interactive work to date at Coal Drops Yard in London’s Kings Cross to introduce the entirely new 2D tile play concept from the LEGO Group – LEGO® DOTS. To tease the new product, Walala was invited to bring LEGO DOTS to life in a free public art installation that celebrates their shared values of creativity, self-expression and accessibility, expressed through the vibrant colours and bold geometric patterns of both the new product and her own signature work. The result is HOUSE OF DOTS: a fantastical house comprising five rooms spread over eight shipping containers, in which everything from the walls and floors to the rugs, frames...
If you didn’t see the February 2020 LEGO Store Calendar, the main promotion for the month is an exclusive patch (5006148) when you purchase the LEGO Ideas International Space Station (21321). There’s no official images of it yet but as you can see above, the patch shows the ISS surrounded by countries that have made contributions to the ISS. There are images another version of the patch without the flags of the countries. I’ll post the official images as soon as they are on LEGO’s servers. The promotion will run from February 1-9, while supplies last. The post LEGO Ideas International Space Station Patch (5006148) Promotion appeared first on The Brick Fan. The past few days I’ve been sent messages regarding a new exclusive LEGO Nintendo Switch steelbook that is supposed to be available at Best Buy. I don’t have any concrete details but people have been saying that you can get it for free with a purchase of two LEGO Nintendo Switch games. I’ve also heard that it might be sold separately as well for $19.99. I didn’t see anything about the promotion in the weekly ad so I can’t say for sure when it will be available so it’s up to you to check if your store has it or not. **Via Twitter** The post LEGO Nintendo Switch Steelbook Coming to Best Buy appeared first on The Brick Fan.
